This is a two hours webinar that normalizes the negative psychological state anyone would be
in after the horrific Beirut port explosion. The webinar details the usual
aftermaths of traumatic incidents (physically & psychologically) &
gives some psychoeducation on the physiology of the experienced acute stress
response. It, also, offers insights on when the psychological negative state is
considered to be subject to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Early
supportive psychological interventions usually prevent the development of PTSD
& stabilization efforts are needed to diffuse the stress response from
becoming chronic. Some stress reduction techniques were offered as psychological aids to healing the shock.
